We accomplished a lot at the TRR range thanks to efforts by Judge Menday, Barb Steele, River Ben, Cowboy Small, Farr Ranger, Manchaca Kid, Aiyana Kay, Yellow Hand, El Zopilote Viejo and Jacie Lane.
The fence was completed around the materials storage area, rendering the local vista much improved. Thanks to Jacie, Yellow Hand, Farr Ranger and Cowboy Small for completing this task. Between last Thursday and this Friday we built and erected the false front for the Western Union Office and the Post Office adjacent to the Sheriff’s Office and Jail. Thanks to Judge Menday, River Ben, Zopilote, Farr Ranger, Jacie Lane who got this framed and trimmed and to Barb Steele who did yeoman’s work getting panels and trim painted, Manchaca, Aiyana, Ben, and others built a boardwalk in front of the jail and this new area and this same crew did a great job of installing posts, headers and rafters for the roof that will cover the boardwalk.
The range gets better every month. Come out and shoot with us on June 17 to see what we have accomplished!
The Tejas Caballeros extend a Big Welcome to the following new members who joined up since we left the Flat Creek Range.
So great to have you as part of our group!

We’ll have an exciting new stage at Texas Republic Ranch called the Outlaw Cabin. This stage is unique in that it is one of the few around where you will move down range during the shoot. This stage will have a number of other cool features, but you will have to come out yourself to see them. Check out the door on the backside and the outhouse behind the building which is there as a prop. We will soon have flush toilets in our new Registration building.
One of your favorite stages at Flat Creek was the mine cart, so of course we had to have one at TRR. Here are a few photos of the Black Diamond Mine #2. A fun feature on this stage is the addition of the mine tunnel at the end.
